Kaley Cuoco Reflects on Her First Ever Mother’s Day with Baby Matilda

Kaley Cuoco just celebrated her first-ever Mother’s Day with her baby daughter, Matilda. The actress once thought that she would never have a child.

On May 14, the “Big Bang Theory” alum shared an adorable series of snaps featuring her first child, Matilda, to mark the special day. In the first photo, Cuoco kissed her boyfriend, actor Tom Pelphry, who beamed down at their baby in his arms.

Celebrating the occasion, she gushed, “My first Mother’s Day was as sweet as it gets!” She also thanked Pelphry for flying home to spend the day with them. Her gratitude extended to “all the incredible women who are truly helping us raise our sweet Matilda.”

The twosome welcomed baby Matilda on March 30, announcing the news to their followers on Instagram. “My heart is full of love and gratitude for this miracle,” Pelphy wrote while praising his partner’s strength and bravery throughout their pregnancy journey.

Kaley Is “So Good” at Being a Mom to Matilda

Weeks into being new parents, Pelphry spoke about how good of a mother Cuoco has been. “She is so good at it,” he said. “She’s so funny, and she’s so nurturing and easy and playful and loving…I mean, so loving. You know, it’s beautiful.”

Before giving birth, “The Flight Attendant” star admitted that she never read parenting books; instead, she found herself in a “natural situation” as a mother. And so far, everything has worked out for them.

Describing motherhood in three words, she said it’s been exciting, special, and insane – but all in the best way.

In an interview, an emotional Cuoco revealed she thought she would never have a child. And now that she did her charity work held much more meaning, especially raising awareness for kids battling rare conditions.

Cuoco also hoped to pass on the gift of giving to her daughter when she grew up. She said, “Being out here and seeing these kids, we see a lot of them – most of them year after year – and I hope that Matilda knows that she’s very lucky and she’s healthy.”
