General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that this week fans saw Maxie Jones’ adorable young son James West (Gary James Fuller) strike up a bromance with Cody Bell (Josh Swickard). James bemoaned the lack of a male figure in his life, and glommed onto sweet Cody like a needy boy among a family of girls.
Fans instantly set the rumor mill on fire with speculation that Cody and Maxie are going to get involved and we’re here to unpack what that explosive combo could entail.
General Hospital Spoilers – Ryan Paevey Played Nathan West
James’ father, Nathen West (Ryan Paevey), died several years ago and Maxie’s latest flirtation that went nowhere was with the newly deceased Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth). On second thought, maybe Cody should think twice about looking Maxie’s way?
Nonetheless, James was insistent on having Cody all to himself, luring him into fixing all sorts of things around the house.
The cutie even suggested that Cody spend the night and declared “I wish Cody was my brother!” Poor Cody used the excuse that he had to get Comet ready for bed, and James agreed.
GH Spoilers – Sasha’s Reluctance
Right now Cody is in an early days relationship with Sasha Reeves (Sofia Mattsson). But she’s gun shy about getting in too deep and gentleman Cody completely understands.
How long will his patience last, he is a man after all, just saying. Cody needs company, too, and not just in the stables.

Of course pairing Maxie with Cody would be all kinds of dynamite, good and bad. First of all it would bring the fire in the romance department and it would be interesting to see how Cody handles juggling the attentions of two women if it came to that.
Secondly, he is hiding the fact that he is Mac Scorpio’s (John J Yorke) son. Mac raised Maxie, and is married to her mom Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner). Which means it would could be totally awkward if these two kinda step-siblings explored their feelings.
GH Spoilers – Cody Bell & Maxie?
Felicia was present at Maxie’s house while everyone interacted and she got a super-soapy look on her face while flashing back to Cody telling Mac that he’s not his father.
