Y&R spoilers are teasing that Devon is suspicious that Mamie bought her shares in Chancellor-Winters on the orders of Tucker. This makes no sense. Mamie basically raised Ashley Abbott — she sure did it more than her mother, Dina, did. Mamie adores Ashley. Why would she collude with the husband that Ashley kicked to the curb five minutes after the ink was dry on their marriage license? We have our suspicions.

Sure, sure, Ashley has a wonderful career, a beautiful daughter, an adorable grandson, and a fulfilling life in Paris. But where is the man in this picture? Mamie is still worried about her girl!

Tucker (Trevor St. John) can be charming…when he wants to be. Let’s assume he really wanted to be with Mamie. Tucker could have convinced Mamie that joining forces with him could be a way to show Ashley what she lost when she cut him loose. It’s a way for Mamie to play matchmaker for her and the man who passed himself off as the love of Ashley’s life. Mamie always did like meddling in her Abbott family’s business. Here is her chance to play Cupid.

Tucker being Devon’s (Bryton James) father and Dominic’s grandfather would only drive the point home. Of course, he only has Ashley’s best interests at heart. He has her whole family’s best interests at heart. Tucker wouldn’t do anything to hurt Ashley! That would also mean hurting Devon and Dominic! They’re family, he and Mamie, now. Let’s see what they can put their heads together to do, to make sure everybody lives happily ever after.
