Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Judith Chapman Returns to DOOL – But Is She Playing Diana Cooper or Anjelica Deveraux?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Judith Chapman has confirmed she’s pulling double soap duty since she was recently filming at DOOL and also has New Year’s Eve scenes coming up on The Young and the Restless.

However, let’s talk about Chapman’s latest Days stint for a moment and ponder the mystery of who she’ll be playing.

The most likely option is Diana Cooper, who went by the name Diana Colville in the late 1980s.

When Diana resurfaced in 2019, it was revealed that she was Leo Stark aka Matthew Cooper’s (Greg Rikaart) mother.

Leo has major issues with Diana, who ultimately concluded her run when she was carted off to prison.

Diana has been mentioned in recent months since Leo visited Diana at Statesville and faced more of her typical criticism.

Leo’s mom always makes him feel like a worthless, unlovable human being, so being around her is depressing to say the least.

Judith Chapman’s Facebook posts hinted about working with Greg Rikaart on Days recently, so it makes sense that Diana and Leo have an onscreen mother-son reunion coming up.

That said, we should probably leave the door open for Chapman to make a comeback as Anjelica Deveraux – just in case!

Morgan Fairchild’s version of Anjelica faced a fatal exit back in 2017, but Chapman reprised the role of Anjelica for a ghostly Halloween fantasy episode in 2018.

Since characters make miraculous comebacks all the time in Salem, no one can rule out the idea of Anjelica returning in the flesh down the road.

It could potentially tie in with Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) storyline since Anjelica didn’t really write that letter to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) like Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) wants everyone to believe.

It’s even possible that Judith Chapman will play both Diana and Anjelica since Emily O’Brien has been portraying Theresa Donovan while still popping up as Gwen von Leuschner here and there.

Regardless, it’ll be fun to have Chapman back at Days! It’s always nice when familiar faces return for a visit, so we’ll be eager to see the trouble that’s in store.

Chapman also plays the mother of Greg Rikaart’s character on Y&R, so fans of the CBS soap can look forward to more Gloria Fisher-Bardwell and Kevin Fisher scenes too since we’ve got double soap duty confirmation.
