General Hospital Spoilers: Hostage Ava’s Hero Arrives – Surprise Rescuer Goes Up Against Nikolas

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will fear the worst during the week of October 16-20. That’s when the walls will close in on Ava and leave her in extreme danger, so she’ll definitely need some help to get out of this jam.

Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) was supposed to get rid of Ava for good, but he seemed hesitant to go through with Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) orders.

Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) wanted Ava left unscathed and seemingly convinced Mason to deliver her as a kidnapping victim instead.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Ava isn’t at risk! It’s possible Nikolas just wanted to take Ava out himself, so she’ll still be in a dangerous situation while she’s stuck in his clutches.

Fortunately, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will dig for the truth about Ava’s disappearance.

Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will be a big part of how Josslyn and Dex presumably find out Ava’s location.

Will Dex come through for Ava and save the mother of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) child?

GH spoilers say Josslyn will be frantic around the time that the peril ramps up for Ava, so that might be due to Dex throwing himself into the lion’s den.

In other words, Dex might free Ava and perhaps give her a chance to go into hiding for a bit.

That could be why Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) will grill Dex soon after according to GH spoilers.

Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will threaten Austin into doing his bidding, so he may want the good doctor to wipe Ava off the map himself.

Austin can’t do that if he can’t find Ava, so he may face a setback if Dex and Josslyn’s teamwork results in a newly free Ava hiding out somewhere.

On the other hand, it’s possible Austin will go against Cyrus’ grim wishes and be the one to free Ava from Nik’s grasp instead.

Despite the blackmail plot, Austin might find out Ava’s whereabouts after a hint from Dex and come to her rescue rather than eliminate her.

Either way, Nikolas is apparently going to get blindsided once Ava escapes with a little help from a surprise hero.
